DCM Shriram Consolidated's net profit rose 162 per cent to Rs 38.58 crore in the quarter ended June 30, a company release said today. The company's revenues increased by 80 per cent to Rs 584 crore.
 
The company's board has approved a revised plan to expand sugar capacity from 14,000 tonne cane crushed per day (tcd) to 33,000 tcd which would be commissioned by October 2006.
