DuPont India, a subsidiary of E.I du Pont De Nemours and Company, today said it was planning to double its headcount to 3,000 in the next two-three years.
The company, which currently has a workforce of 1,500 people, wants to take it to 3,000 in the next two-three years, in view of the expected growth in business Volumes from the Indian market, DuPont Chemicals Solutions Enterprise-India Sub Region (ASEAN ANZ) Marketing Manger Dipal Dinesh Parikh said.
"India has been a key growth market," he added.
Parikh said in the long-run the company's knowledge centre in Hyderabad, in which Dupont has invested Rs 150 crore, would cater to the emerging markets in South East Asia.
The company, which deal in science-based Products, had not been impacted by the global slowdown owing to the "right growth strategy", said DuPont Global Manager Textiles Defne Saral.
