Material handling equipment (MHE) maker, Elecon Engineering Ltd has registered 10 per cent growth in the net profits for the second quarter ended September 30, 2011. Company reported net profit of Rs 16 crore for the Q2 FY 2012 against Rs 14 per cent reported in the corresponding period in the previous year.
The company's turnover for the second quarter rose 20 per cent from Rs 278 crore in the same period last year to Rs 335 crore in Q2 2012. Elecon's gear division grew by 22 per cent, while MHE division posted a growth of 19 per cent.
