In order to provide better services to its customers, Electrotherm (India) Ltd, which manufactures and markets electric two-wheelers under the brand name Yobykes, plans to roll out high-tech service stations in total 17 states over the next six months.
"We already have service centers at all our showrooms but they are not equipped with high-tech instruments. Taking a step forward in providing better services to our customers, we have planned high-tech service stations called 'Yoworld' in many states of the country. As many as 17 such service stations will be opened in major cities across the country", said Mukesh Bhandari, chairman of Electrotherm on the launch its first Yoworld high-tech service station in Ahmedabad today.
The company currently has 250 sales centers and it hopes to add another 100 centers by next year. "Apart from this, Electrotherm is also looking at exporting electric two wheelers to neighbouring countries such as Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal", said Avinash Bhandari, joint managing director and group CEO, Electrotherm.
The electric vehicle manufactures is at present working on two new products, which will be launched soon. The company has set the target of selling 45,000 electric two wheelers next week. It closed the year 2008-09 with a sales figure of 20,000 units.
Electrotherm's sales have taken a hit of 20 per cent on account of economic slowdown. "Non-availability of finance was the major factor responsible for the lower sales. The company had set the target of 25,000 units but it could sell only 20,000 units", Avinash Bhandari added.
However, the company hopes to double its sales on the back of new product launches and strengthening of sales network.
