Federal Bank net up 5% at Rs 226 crore

Federal Bank reported 4.98 per cent rise in net profit in the second quarter of the current financial year at Rs 225.81 crore from Rs 215 .10 crore in the same quarter of last year. Total income of the bank increased 11.58 per cent to Rs 1,857.84 crore. While total deposits rose 14.69 per cent from Rs 49,518.07 crore to Rs 56,793.74 crore, advances rose 16.31 per cent from Rs 36,299.18 crore to Rs 42,220.06 crore. Net interest income (NII) recorded a sequential growth of 7.60 per cent (annualised growth of 30.41%), as it improved from Rs 509.61 cr to Rs 548.35 crore.
