The co-founder has been accused of sexual harassment by a former employee

An FIR has been filed against ScoopWhoop co-founder after a sexual harassment complaint against him. FIR is first information report.

ScoopWhoop is an internet media company. The co-founder has been accused of sexual harassment by a former employee and the police has filed a case against him. ScoopWhoop was set up in 2013 and has raised over $5 million in funding.

According to the police, the alleged victim joined the company in 2015. The woman said the two other co-founders did nothing, despite being made aware of the problem.
The complaint was filed at a police station in South Delhi last month. 

The complainant has said her pleas to the office administration went unheard.

Police are investigating the case and no arrest has been made so far.

ScoopWhoop said, "We are extending full cooperation to the police to conduct a full and fair investigation into the matter."

"ScoopWhoop strongly condemns any kind of harassment at the workplace. We work towards ensuring a safe and secure workplace for all our employees and take any complaints of harassment extremely seriously...We are fully prepared to accept the findings of the investigations and dutifully take the necessary action if (the accused is) found guilty," it said.

The matter is also being inquired by ScoopWhoop's complaints committee.
