Force Motors today said it could invest around Rs 1,000 crore in the next two years to come out with new vehicles and modernise its plants.
"We are looking at vans, sports utility and small commercial vehicles. These new products are likely to come within the next two years," Force Motors Chairman Abhay Firodia told reporters on the sidelines of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers' (SIAM) annual convention.
He said the company could invest around Rs 1,000 crore for the development of these vehicles and also on modernisation of its plants.
The funding could be arranged internally or the promoters may pump in more funds, he added.
At present, the Pune-based automotive company has two manufacturing facilities at Akurdi (Pune) and Pithampur (Indore). It currently makes tractors, three-wheelers and light and heavy trucks.
