Get productive with your weekend with these start-ups that have raised funding.

1) Medinfi

Medinfi, a start-up that helps people find and review doctors nearby, has raised $200,000 in angel funding from investors, including Genpact Senior Vice-President Mudit Saxena and Singaporean angel investor Evan Lim.

The start-up will put the money toward adding 38 cities to the 12 it’s currently active in. It also has plans to expand into Southeast Asia, particularly Singapore, founder and CEO Ravi Shankar Mishra said.

Medinfi is currently available for Android, and the company plans to release an iOS version of the app by the end of the year.

2) GoCoop

Bangalore-based GoCoop Solutions and Services is an online marketplace for co-operatives and community-based weavers and artisans, and it’s just raised its series A funding round. The round was led by Infosys co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan, Saha Fund, and existing investors. The amount of the investment was undisclosed.

The company earlier raised seed funding from Unitus Seed Fund and the Indian Angel Network, led by Naga Prakasam.

3) AppSay

AppSay, a business communication portal, has raised $150,000 in its first funding round from Venture Catalysts.

AppSay connects end-users with businesses like banks, schools, and hospitals for information and support. It seeks to clear out the clutter caused by multiple business emails or SMS messages.

4) HelloDhobi

Hong Kong-based Swastika Company has made its third investment this month in on-demand laundry start-up HelloDhobi. The amount of angel funding was undisclosed.

HelloDhobi partners with industrial laundromats and outsources the washing to its partners. Customers can schedule pick-up via Whatsapp, SMS, or a phone call. They can track their orders online and get next-day delivery, paying either with cash or online. This is an excerpt from Tech in Asia. You can read the full article here
