Four Soft, a Hyderabad-based enterprise solutions company, recorded a decline of 38 per cent in net profit to Rs 3.12 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 compared with Rs 5.05 crore during the corresponding quarter last year.

Its revenues from operations for the quarter stood at Rs 47.05 crore, as against Rs 38.69 crore, reflecting a growth of around 22 per cent.

"The decline in net profit during the quarter was largely due to the increase in staff cost and exchange difference loss," a company spokesperson told Business Standard.

The company's basic earnings per share (not annualised) stood at Rs 0.82 during the quarter, compared with Rs 1.44 in the corresponding period last year, while its paid-up equity share capital was at Rs 19.15 crore, against Rs 17.64 crore.
