Gati Limited, a Hyderabad-based distribution and supply chain solutions provider, reported a net loss of Rs 7.79 crore for the second quarter ended September 2012, as against a net profit of Rs 4.5 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

“Exceptional items comprise loss (Rs 6.06 crore) on sale of an old cargo ship,” Gati said in a filing to the BSE on Tuesday.

Its total income stood at Rs 298.29 crore for the quarter under review, as compared to Rs 321.2 crore during the same period last year, reflecting a decline of 7.13%.

Gati Limited’s stock is currently trading at Rs 36.10 on the BSE, down 2.30%, over the previous close of Rs 36.95.
