Godrej appliance is targeting 40 per cent growth in home appliance category in the rth India market. The North India market comprises Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and the Union Territory of Chandigarh. Godrej Appliance General Manager (North) Ramandeep Singh Trehan said the companywas bullish over the growth prospects in appliance categories in 2010-11.
He said the company last year, despite a tough outlook, registered 30 per cent growth in Godrej appliance category, with refrigerators contributing the most towards the sale. Elaborating on reasons why Godrej fared well in home appliance category despite not-so-favourable conditions, Trehan said launching of new products keeping in mind the needs and requirement of people helped the company gain.
