Godrej Consumer Q1 net up 16% at Rs 107 cr

Net sales increase 18.7% to Rs 923 crore

Godrej Consumer Products Ltd today reported 16.46% increase in net profit at Rs 107 crore in the first quarter ended June 30, 2013.

The company had reported net profit of Rs 91.94 crore in the same quarter last year.

Godrej Consumer's net sales in the quarter under review was at Rs 923 crore, an increase of 18.70% as against Rs 777.66 crore in the corresponding period last year, the company said in a BSE filing.

Overall expenses of the company in the quarter were at Rs 798 crore, up 19.05% as against Rs 670 crore in the same quarter last year.
