HAL to make new generation Dornier aircraft

The state owned company is manufacturing the twin-engined turbo-prop aircraft in Kanpur under licence from the parent company Dornier-Fairchild of Germany and its new owner, Ruag Aerospace Company of Switzerland.        
Under a new agreement signed during the recent Berlin Air Show, HAL and Ruag Aerospace agreed on joint production of a new generation of Dornier-228 aircraft in Germany.       

HAL will supply the first three sets of components
