IT services provider HCL Technologies today said it will hire 5,000 people this year.

"We will hire 5,000 people for our expansion during the calendar 2010," HCl Technologies CFO Anil Chanana said.

The company said that it will go for a wage hike in July this year, the beginning of its fiscal year.
