Heidelberg Cement, formerly Mysore Cement, today said its net profit has grown by 31.25% to Rs 48.85 crore in the first quarter ended March 31, 2009.
The cement producer had a net profit of Rs 37.22 crore in the March quarter of FY'08, Heidelberg Cement said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The total income rose by 39 per cent to Rs 263.16 crore during the March quarter, from Rs 189.74 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.
Shares of the company were trading at Rs 25.50, up 3.45% in the afternoon trade on the BSE.
