Heritage Foods posts Rs 53.47 cr loss in Q1

Heritage Foods (India) today reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 53.47 lakh for the quarter ended June 30.

The company had posted a net loss of Rs 1.47 crore in the corresponding quarter of last year, Heritage Foods (India) said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The consolidated net sales during the first quarter increased by 24.87% to Rs 317.19 crore from Rs 254.01 crore in the year-ago period, it added.

The company's board has recommended a dividend of 12%, which is Rs 1.20 per share of the face value of Rs 10 each, the filing said.

The shares of Heritage Foods (India) today closed 1.5% up at Rs 236.90 apiece on the BSE.
