HMSI May sales up 11.09%

Motorcycle sales registered a rise of 16.90%, scooter sales reported an increase of 6.25%

Two-wheeler manufacturer Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) today reported 11.09% growth in its total sales for June 2013 at 2,52,114 units.

The company's total sales stood at 2,26,929 units in the corresponding month last year.

Motorcycle sales registered a rise of 16.90% to 1,20,639 units in June 2013 from 1,03,195 units in June 2012, HMSI said in a statement.

The company also reported an increase of 6.25% in its scooter sales at 1,31,475 units from 1,23,734 units in June 2012, it said.
