Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) today reported an over three-fold increase in its domestic sales for January 2013 at 5,451 units.
The company had sold 1,784 units in the same month last year, HCIL said in a statement.
During the month, the company sold 2,898 units of its flagship sedan City and 2,336 units of its small car Brio. It also sold 61 units of the premium hatchback Jazz and 53 units of sedan Civic.
Besides, HCIL sold 73 units of the premium sedan Accord in January 2013.
In addition to these sales, the company also exported a total of 359 units during January 2013.
