Honda Motorcycle marketing head resigns

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) today announced that its senior Board member N K Rattan has resigned as Vice President – Sales & Marketing. He was handling portfolio of Operating Head – Sales Planning and Marketing and Operating Head - Corporate Affairs.

After a memorable and exciting association of close to 12 years, the Board has agreed to relieve Rattan on March 10, 2012.

“Rattan’s extraordinary vision and leadership established HMSI and guided it to its position as the India’s most innovative and Fastest Growing two-wheeler Company. Rattan has made countless contributions to momentous journey of HMSI in the past decade, and has inspired the immensely creative Associates and created a world class executive team. His support and leadership has indeed been highly meritorious throughout his journey at HMSI,” said Keita Muramatsu, President & CEO, HMSI.  

Rattan joined HMSI as sales head in August, 2000 and was responsible for setting up the sales & marketing operations in domestic as well as international markets.

Speaking on this development, Rattan said: “I have enjoyed every moment of my association with Honda which has widened my horizons. The success we have enjoyed has been largely possible to the consistent efforts of entire team and continued support by the Management. I now look forward to new accomplishment and challenges.”
