Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Ltd today launched its 'CB Twister' here today.
The company expects to cross the 15 lakh mark in sales in 2010-11, a senior company official said.
The company, which sold 10 lakh two-wheelers in 2008-09, would achieve 12.5 lakh sales of two wheelers like Activa, Dio and Aviator this fiscal, and of the expected 15 lakh sales next year, the Twister was expected to sell 2.20 lakh, P Rajagopi, Regional Manager, South told reporters here.
With a national market share of 13 per cent in the two-wheeler segment, the company has recently enhanced the production capacity, which would be utilised to produce more Twisters, a 110 cc motorcycle, which would hit the market by end of this month, he said.
Tamil Nadu remained one of the best sellers for Honda in India, enjoying more than nine per cent market share, company adviser W Iwayama said.
