ICICI fund sells MCX shares for Rs 32 cr

ICICI Emerging Sectors Fund today sold 2.58 lakh shares of the country's largest commodity bourse Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX )for about Rs 32 crore in open market transaction.

ICICI Emerging Sectors Fund offloaded 2,58,345 equities of MCX for Rs 1,226.49 a piece, valuing the deal to Rs 31.68 crore, according to the bulk data available on the stock exchanges.

However, the buyer of the shares could not be ascertained.

ICICI Trusteeship Services Ltd, through ICICI Emerging Sectors Fund, held a total of 1,349,181 shares or 2.65% stake in MCX.

Shares of MCX fell by 4.94% to close at Rs 1,233 apiece on the BSE.
