IDFC Bank's second quarter net profit plunged 39.74 per cent to Rs 233.66 crore on account of lower income and higher expenses.

The lender's net profit in the same quarter of the previous fiscal stood at Rs 387.76 crore.


Its total expenditure went up 10.96 per cent to Rs 2,120.27 crore compared to Rs 1,910.72 crore in the third quarter of the previous financial year.
