The turnkey project, awarded under the central government’s Rajeev Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana scheme, is valued at Rs 149.68 crore. The project, funded by Rural Electrification Corporation Limited, is to be completed in 18 months, IL&FS Engineering said in a press release on Thursday. The company recently won an RE project from Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited in Uttar Pradesh. It is already executing RE works for West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited and for Power Grid Corporation of India Limited in Odisha.
