Ipca Laboratories Q2 profit up 3.48 pc at Rs 129.45 cr

Drug firm Ipca Laboratories today reported 3.48% rise in its standalone net profit at Rs 129.45 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2013.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 125.09 crore for the corresponding period of last fiscal, Ipca Laboratories said in a BSE filing.

Net sales of the company rose to Rs 834.27 crore for the quarter under consideration from Rs 757.52 crore for the same period a year ago, it added.

For the first half of 2013-14 fiscal, Ipca Laboratories standalone profit increased to Rs 201.22 crore as against Rs 168.07 crore in the year-ago period.

Ipca Laboratories net sales in H1 period (April-September) increased to Rs 1,626.80 crore as against Rs 1,387.77 crore in the same period last year.

Shares of Ipca Laboratories were today trading at Rs 678.80 per scrip in the afternoon trade on BSE, up 2.18% from the previous close.
