Indian Statistical Institute is to carry out baseline survey for SAIL’s Iisco Steel Plant.
An agreement was signed by B K Roy, director, ISI and Pradip Sahay, executive director (P&A), Iisco Steel Plant on Monday.
The Survey would be conducted over the next two months in 28 villages around Burnpur.
Roy mentioned that ISI has a structured approach for data collection, undertaking focused group discussions and holding stake holder meetings to assess specific needs of a community.
Iisco Steel Plant spent over Rs 6 crores in the last three years to fulfill its Corporate Social Responsibility.
