Isolux Corsan bags Rs 1,476 cr infrastructure projects in India

Spanish firm Isolux Corsan on Tuesday said it has bagged six major contracts worth Rs 1,476 crore in India for development of various infrastructure.
    
 "Isolux Corsan has been awarded 6 new contracts for the construction of different infrastructures in India," the company said in a statement adding the contract is worth "175 million euros."
     
It said the contract includes widening of 88 kilometres of roads in Odisha with an expenditure of 36.5 million euros (Rs 303.8 crore).
    

 Besides, the company has also been awarded three contracts for the improvement and construction of new facilities in the Delhi Metro, it said.

     
"The first of these projects, for improving and conditioning the Delhi Metro System Line 4 electromechanical facilities, entailing an investment of 26 million euros (Rs 219.4 crore), will be carried out via a Joint Venture with Sterling and Wilson Limited India," it said.
     
Apart from this, the firm will be working together with Sadbhav Engineering Ltd India in two projects for the construction of 2 viaducts, 7 elevated stations plus the architectural finishing on bus stops and urban parks for the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.
     
"These projects has a global investment of 70 million euros (Rs 590 crore), it said.

     
Isolux Corsan has also been awarded two multi-crore new transmission and distribution contracts including construction and supply of 260 km of 132 kV lines, 20 km of 220 kV lines, 7 new substations and 5 bay enlargements in existing substations in 220 kV and 132 kV in Madhya Pradesh, it added.
     
The second contract pertains to procurement, design, supply and installation of 220KV, 132 KV & 66 KV sub-stations and 66 KV bays at Gurgaon and Sonepat in Haryana by Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (HVPNL).
     
It said the group is one of the prime european developers of large scale infrastructure projects and is constructing 700 km of four motorways besides 1,600 km of electric power transmission lines in Uttar Pradesh.

     
The infrastructure major operates in 38 countries in the fields of transport, railway, airport, maritime, and hydraulic infrastructures besides residential and non-residential buildings.
