North-based cement player JK Lakshmi Cement has posted a decline of 32.63 per cent in its net profit for the quarter ended March, 2010 at Rs 70.12 crore compared with Rs 104.08 crore in the previous corresponding quarter. The company's net sales during the period stood at Rs 441.26 crore against Rs 364.41 crore, up 21.09 per cent.
For the financial year ended March, the company's net profit was up 35 per cent at Rs 241.13 crore compared with Rs 178.59 crore last year. The company's net sales for the year rose to Rs 1,490.5 crore against Rs 1,224.53 crore, up 21.72 per cent.
On the Bombay Stock Exchange, company's shares closed on Tuesday at Rs 65.85, up 1.31 per cent.
