IT firm HCL Infosystems today announced the appointment of J V Ramamurthy as its President and Chief Operating Officer (COO).
He was earlier serving as the COO of HCL Infosystems since 2005, HCL said in a statement.
"Over the last two decades, J V Ramamurthy has contributed immensely in building HCL through various stages of transformation in a constantly changing business environment," HCL Infosystems Chairman and CEO Ajai Chowdhry said.
Ramamurthy joined HCL as the Regional Customer Engineering Support Manager in 1988 and went on to head the company's support services.
He has also held additional responsibility as President and CEO of HCL Infinet, the company's Internet Infrastructure initiative.
