RPG Group firm KEC International Ltd has won three nerw orders collectively worth Rs 379 crore, according to a press release issued by the company on January 20. Two of the orders are from Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) in the transmission segment and the third is from NMDC Ltd in the Balance of Plant segment.
The first PGCIL order is for the supply and construction of 765 KV double circuit transmission line between Jharsuguda Pooling Station and Dharamjaygarh. This is associated with Phase-I Generation Projects in Orissa. The total value of this order is Rs 173 crore.
The second PGCIL order is for supply and construction of 765 kV single circuit transmission line between Satna – Charkhari. These transmission lines are associated with Rihand - III & Vindhyachal – IV in Madhya Pradesh. The total order value is Rs 166 crore. These projects are part of PGCIL's plan for inter-regional system strengthening and the evacuation of power from the various integrated power plants coming up in the region.
The release said KEC has won a total of five orders in this segment in the past month, from India and South Africa.
The company has also made a breakthrough in the Balance of Plant segment by securing a contract worth Rs 40 crore in Chhattisgarh from NMDC. The scope of work includes civil and structural works, ventilation and air-conditioning system, fire-fighting and fire detection system on turnkey basis.
KEC's total order intake in the past one month is more than Rs 2,000 crore.
