Kirloskar Brothers Q3 net falls 25% to Rs 13 cr

Pumps-maker Kirloskar Brothers today reported a 24.93% fall in net profit after tax for the quarter ended December 31, 2011, to Rs 12.68 crore.

The company had posted a net profit after tax of Rs 16.89 crore for the corresponding period last fiscal, Kirloskar Brothers said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The company's total income, however, increased by 8.28% to Rs 420.59 crore during the quarter from Rs 388.43 crore in the year-ago period, it added.

Shares of the company closed 7.45% higher at Rs 139.25 apiece on the BSE today.
