Kitchen appliances maker Kutchina plans to grab two per cent market share of small appliances in the mid-premium category in this fiscal.

Known for its auto-clean chimney solutions, Kutchina has entered the small kitchen appliances space, the market size of which is estimated at Rs 10,000 crore. But, Kutchina positions itself in the mid-premium range, a market worth Rs 5,000-6,000 crore, and growing 12 per cent year-on-year.

“Our focus is on delivering quality products in the small kitchen appliances segment. We would be happy to pocket two per cent market share in this category in this fiscal,” said Namit Bajoria, managing director, Kutchina.

The company posted an annual turnover of around Rs 200 crore in last fiscal.

“Kutchina is committed to providing hassle-free lifestyle cooking experience through innovative, safe, stylish and energy efficient appliances that improve people’s lives and makes cooking an enjoyable experience. All products of Kutchina are not only technologically advanced but also eco-friendly and most stylish to suit our customers’ modern lifestyle. With the launch of Kutchina small appliances, we will be able to offer our customers holistic cooking solutions with modern day appliances that will make their lives convenient and time saving”, Bajoria said.

Kutchina has rolled out its range of small appliances with 31 new products across nine categories, which includes appliances like cooktops, toasters, sandwich makers, OTG, mixer grinder, juicer, electric kettle, inductions and hand blenders.

The new range of Kutchina appliances will be available through modern retail as well as traditional forms of retailing through distribution & dealer networks. The company has a strong distribution network which reaches out to all major cities in the country with 1,700 dealers, 130 distributors and 24 company owned exclusive stores.

A report by Euromonitor International says small cooking appliances in India witnessed six per cent volume growth and nine per cent current value growth in 2015. The volume growth came from changing lifestyles and food habits in urban regions of the country.
