Engineering major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) today said it has bagged a project worth Rs 2,035 crore from ONGC Mangalore Petrochemicals Ltd to set up an aromatics complex at Mangalore special economic zone.
The aromatic complex will produce products like Paraxylene & Benzene as well as other by products like Hydrogen and LPG, L&T said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The project involves setting up of nine process units and would be ready for commissioning by December 2012, the filing said.
The scope of the project includes design, engineering and construction of the aromatics complex, it added.
Shares of L&T were trading at Rs 1,552.10 on the BSE, down 0.84 per cent from previous close.
