M&M is scheduled to launch its compact SUV (sports utility vehicle) KUV 100 in the second half of this month, followed by the launch of an upgraded version of Quanto.
Launching premium pickup Imperio, M&M's eighth product to be rolled out during this financial year, Lakra said the company currently had an annual capacity to churn out 20,000 Imperios at its Chakan plant, which would be scaled up based on the demand.
Available in four variants (two single-cabin options and two double-cabin options) and in three colours, Imperio's prices range from Rs 6.71 lakh to Rs 7.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Warangal in Telangana).
Replying to a query, he said M&M already had a strategy in place to overcome the curbs on diesel SUVs in NCR, and was awaiting a court verdict on diesel vehicles' registrations in the region.
