Maheswar Sahu joins RIL board

He served 10 years with the Central government in industry and infrastructure and three years with UN Organisations.

Maheswar Sahu, IAS (Retd), has joined the Board of Directors of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), as an Independent Director with immediate effect. With this, the Board will comprise 14 members, with eight being independent directors.

Sahu, 60, was Additional Chief Secretary (Industries and Mining) with the Government of Gujarat. He has served 10 years with the Central government in industry and infrastructure and three years with UN Organisations.

He has also set up two societies in Gujarat to promote corporate social responsibility initiatives. Sahu holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and Masters in Public Administration from University of Birmingham, UK.
