"In his new role, Pankaj will be responsible for leading the strategy and growth agenda through new business opportunities. He will report directly to the MD & CEO of Marico Ltd, Saugata Gupta," Marico said in a statement.
Gupta said, "Pankaj brings great value to his role through his past consulting and industry expertise across consumer goods sectors."

Prior to joining Marico, Pankaj worked as a partner with Bain & Company's South-East Asia (SEA) operations and Head of Bain's Consumer Products and Retail, and Healthcare Practices.
Pankaj also worked at Bain's India offices, where he was part of the office startup leadership team since 2006.
Prior to Bain, Pankaj had eight years of consulting and industry experience with Accenture and Coca-Cola, where he handled sales operations for Delhi.
