Maytas Infra today said it has withdrawn two government nominated directors, out of four, on its board. But said the other two will continue for a period of two years, as per government orders.
The company has withdrawn Dr K Ramalingam and OP Vaish from the board and said Anil K Agarwal, past president of industry body Assocham and Ved Jain, past president of Institutte of Chartered Accountants of India will continue be government directors on the board for two years.
The Union government issued orders in this effect on Wednesday consequent to the order of the Company Law Board which ordered induction of new promoter IL&FS in place of existing promoters and withdrawal of two government directors.
