Mayur Suitings opens retail outlet in Agra

In continuation with its retail expansion plans announced in Feb 2007, Mayur Suitings, the Rs 100-crore suiting and shirting brand of RSWM Ltd and part of the LNG Bhilwara Group, opened its exclusive fabric and garments retail outlet in Agra.

Y C Gupta, CEO, Mayur Suitings (Denim and garments business) said, “this is the sixth outlet of the company nationwide and the first one in Uttar Pradesh, and the company plans to open at least 100 exclusive stores in the coming few months”.

He said that the exclusive retail outlets will sell the Mayur premium fabrics range as well as jeans, t-shirts and other readymade garments marketed by the company. Also, the company intended to provide complete in-house tailoring facility to its clients, through these retail stores.

Currently, he said, there were about 100 distributors of Mayur fabrics and nearly 1,500 authorised outlets across India, and only six exclusive stores. The situation will improve soon, as the company intended to pursue its retail expansion plan with an accelerated pace, aggregating at least 100 such stores in the coming few months, operating on the franchisee model, he added.
