Merchant discovery platform Crown-it partners OYO Rooms

Merchant discovery and cashback platform, Crown-it, has partnered OYO Rooms. The alliance is aimed at providing budget stays and cashbacks to Crown-it's users by adding OYO Rooms' selection to the former's 'hotel' category.

The partnership will allow Crown-it's users to book discounted lodging across various cities, for both business and leisure trips. The API (application programme interface) integration between Crown-it and OYO Rooms is set to simplify the entire process of searching, selection and booking a room. The launch of this integration will make over 500 OYO properties available to Crown-it's users.

"This partnership with OYO Rooms gives us a chance to add to our range of options in our hotel category, and allows us to assist our users in their search for affordable, value-for-money hotel reservations," Sameer Grover, founder of Crown-it, said in a statement on Monday.

Crown-it, an O2O (online-to-offline) platform, connects consumers with local merchants. It provides services across food, beauty, fitness, healthcare and travel, besides providing access to hotels in over 30 cities in India. Chandigarh, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Udaipur and Goa are some of the major cities in which Crown-it currently provides services under its hotel category.

Crown-it, which has raised $5.5 million in a Series-A round of funding from Accel Partners and Helion Ventures in May 2015, currently has over 600,000 users, and more than 15,000 merchants listed on its O2O platform.
