The festival season is round the bend, and dealer inventories of most motorcycle manufacturers have begun to shoot up in anticipation of higher sales. This year, though, the companies have their fingers crossed as the level of competitiveness in the industry has touched new heights, especially due to fears of a partial impact on industry fortunes due to late monsoons.

Top two-wheeler companies have raised their dealer inventories by almost a half, against the usual inventory of 15 days of sales. Hero Honda, Bajaj Auto and Yamaha Motor India
