Motorola Mobility, maker of the Motorola brand of smartphones, has identified quality in devices and after sales service support as its key growth drivers in the India market.

“India is a significant market for Motorola. A lot of investments are coming to the country. At Motorola, we don’t make a fuss on sales numbers or market share, we believe in bringing the power of mobile devices to the consumers. And, there is no compromise on quality and style of our devices,” said Marcus Forst, senior marketing director (Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific), Motorola Mobility.

Frost said, the company has strong focus on customer services and has opened 150 service centres across the country.

Motorola manufactures its smartphones in China and Latin American countries like Brazil. But, it has a global software R&D (research & development) facility and an experience centre in Bangalore.

Motorola sold more than three million units of mobile phones in the India market in 2014. When asked about sales projections, Frost refused a comment. Motorola launched its entry level smartphone Moto E 4G variant here. The new Moto E 4G variant is available for purchase exclusively on Flipkart for Rs 7,999 and the Moto E 3G variant is available for purchase exclusively on Flipkart for Rs 6,999.
