Tata Consultancy Services chief executive officer and managing director, N Chandrasekaran, along with company's vice president, V Rajanna, called on Telangana chief minister, K Chandrasekhara Rao, on Thursday.

They stated to have informed the chief minister about TCS operations in Hyderabad where it has 26,000 employees and proposes to add 28,000 more shortly. They also mentioned about their new facility at Adibhatla on the outskirts of the city. The new facility is reported to be TCS' largest delivery centre set up at a single location.

According to an official press release, the chief minister emphasised the need for setting up a full-fledged police station at Adibhatla as thousands of software engineers, including 8,000 women, are working at the place. He has also asked director general of police, Anurag Sharma, to see that a police station was established at the place immediately.

Rao told the TCS chief that his government would be business and industry-friendly and would extend all the necessary support for expansion of TCS operations in the state.

He wanted industrialists to come forward to invest in the state.
