The company has posted a net profit of Rs 14.87 crore against a net loss of Rs 6.05 crore during the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
The company said that profit in the quarter is a result of gains from digitisation and internal cost controls. Revenues of NDTV were at Rs 130.11 crore for the quarter, compared to Rs 126.60 crore in the year ago period, while expenses were down to Rs 120.71 crore, from Rs 130.64 crore.
Meanwhile, in the news operations (standalone) NDTV posted net profit of Rs 23 crore, compared to a net loss of Rs 23.9 crore last year. Income from news operations, however, dipped to Rs 96.77 crore, from Rs 101.76 crore.
NDTV shares closed at Rs 63 on the BSE, up 0.4% on Thursday.
