Goodlass Nerolac, now a subsidiary of Kansai paints of Japan, in its attempt to consolidate its brand portfolio has slashed the number of brands to 3 from 8, apart from the umbrella brand Nerolac.

The three sub-brands retained by the company in its portfolio include Nerolac Excel, a premium-range exterior emulsion, Nerolac Alscapes, a premium-range interior emulsion and Suraksha, the popular category paint. Other brands such as Wonderwood, Primolac and Colour scapes have been merged with the mother brand Nerolac.
