Nikon India rejigs top management

Targeting two fold growth in 2009, Nikon India, the 100 per cent subsidiary of Nikon Corporation, has decided to rejig its organisational structure.

The company has made some key new appointments with Hiroshi Takashina joining as the division general manager (Imaging Division), Sajjan Kumar as general manager, sales & marketing, Jitender Chugh as national sales manager and Khushraho Kapadia, senior marketing manager.

All the four will assist managing director Hidehiko Tanaka. In addition, Nikon has also appointed regional sales managers and several more executives besides creating focused vertical responsibilities to boost targeted growth strategies.
 
Announcing the organizational changes, Hidehiko Tanaka, managing director, Nikon India said: “These senior appointments reflect Nikon’s commitment to the Indian market and our interest to promote the photography culture in the country. Their expertise will play a vital role in scaling our presence across India and driving growth for the company.”

Further, Nikon will focus on expansion of its offices to strengthen its brand and organisation’s standing in the Indian market. It will further accentuate channel development, targeting 800 retail outlets for in store branding and more than 200 in shop promoters in order to facilitate sales for channel network.
