Nissan Motor inks MoU with Ennore Port for exports

Nissan Motor India Private (NMIPL) has signed a Memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Ennore Port (EPL) to export its new A platform cars from the Ennore port located in north of Chennai. These will include models, such as the next generation of Micra which will be made in India.

Nisssan will become the first automaker to utilise this port, which will become operational by 2010.

Exports are expected to be approximately 110,000 units in 2011 and grow to 180,000 units in the future.
