Hardcastle Restaurants, which has the franchise of McDonalds in the western and southern part of the country has announced that it has started accepted payments through cards (credit, debit and prepaid) at its restaurants.
McDonalds has entered into an agreement with Visa cards for this.
Amit Jatia, vice chairman, Hardcastle Restaurants Private Limited said, “Visa has been working exclusively with McDonald’s to enable card payments in its endeavor for a quick turnaround.” He added, “for a quick service restaurant like McDonald’s, fast turnaround of customer orders and convenience of lower cash handling time is of prime importance.”
McDonalds earlier was only accepting cash payments and this is the first time that it will accept electronic payments at its outlets since it started operating in the country.
