NP Singh takes over as CEO of MSM

Manjit Singh, the current CEO, will return to being the non-executive chairman of MSM but will relocate to Los Angeles to assume other responsibilities

Multi-Screen Media Private Limited (MSM), the company that runs channels like Sony Entertainment television, SET Max and Sony Pix, announced that chief operating officer NP Singh will be taking on the mantel of chief executive officer with immediate effect. Manjit Singh, the current CEO, will return to being the non-executive chairman of MSM but will relocate to Los Angeles to assume other responsibilities. In his new role, NP will report to Andy Kaplan, president worldwide networks, Sony Pictures Television.

Man Jit Singh said, "NP and I have worked closely together as equal partners these last five years and the success of the company is largely due to his efforts. The time has come for him to lead the company to the next level and I fully expect the innovations he brings as CEO will ensure we have years of success ahead. As the Non-executive Chairman of MSM, I look forward to supporting NP and will continue to remain involved with the Indian television industry."

NP Singh joined MSM India in 1998 and was the chief financial officer till 2004 when he was made the chief operating officer.

Kaplan added, "NP has been involved in all the decisions that lead to the success of our business and this is a well-deserved recognition of his untiring efforts and of the faith we have in his decision making. I would also like to thank Man Jit for the huge contribution he has made in growing our business in India and setting it on the path of sustainable future growth."
