Philips Electronics India is planning to take its health segment zone to 400 stores across the country this year as part of its

brand enhancement initiative in consumer lifestyle category.

"The concept of Experience Zone (health segment zone) is to allow our customers to feel and touch the products in our

stores. The space is dedicated only to our health and lifestyle products like water purifier and dryers," Philips Electronics

India Consumer Lifestyle Head Mahesh Krishnan told PTI.

"It (Experience Zone) is present in almost 35 stores in Delhi. We plan to take it to around 400 stores by the end of this year,"

he added.

The company has also embarked on a brand revitalisation move with its executives reaching out to customers directly at

various outlets as part of a global consumer campaign.

Philips has also kicked off its 'Value Campaign' that involves executives who are not normally associated with store sales,

walking in at various outlets and interacting with customers directly.

"We are revitalising our brand at the retail level. In this time of slowdown, when consumers are hesitant to spend on

consumer lifestyle, we felt that we should go out and reach out to the customers directly and explain why they should buy

our products," Krishnan said.
