The world's largest pizza chain with over 12,500 restaurants across 91 countries, Pizza Hut made its foray into Mysore by opening its maiden restaurant on Tuesday.

This is part of its plan to move into smaller cities. With the opening of this 132-seater restaurant, the number of Pizza Hut restaurants in India has moved up to 125 across 31 cities.

Pizza Hut is one of the flagship brands of Yum! Brands, Inc., which also has KFC, Taco Bell, A&W and Long John Silver's under its umbrella.

He said, Pizza Hut sources almost all its raw material from within India. Its policy of vendor empowerment "" introducing select suppliers to valuable technological inputs in flour industry, dairy and vegetable production, mushroom farming and ancillary industries "" has produced dividends.

Speaking at the restaurant's opening, Dodsal Corporation Pvt Ltd general manager, operations G P Ninan said, "It's a privilege to be associated with a leading brand like Pizza Hut and we hope to live up to the expectations of our customers by delivering international quality standards that the brand is well known for. We are confident of repeating Pizza Hut's success story in the city and making the brand integral to the lives of the residents of Mysore."
