Polo Foods, part of eastern India's hospitality brand Polo Towers, has prepared a roadmap to open 100 Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) in the next 2 years.

The QSRs would be launched in both company-owned and franchisee formats.

Polo Foods is the master franchisee of 'Great American Cookies' for India and 'Forever Yogurt' for India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Myanmar and Nepal. It is also the master franchisee of 'Quiznos' for East India.

"By 2016, we plan to open 100 outlets for the three QSR brands across India," Polo Towers CEO & Director Deval Tibrewalla said here today.

The QSRs would be opened in both full and express stores formats, which would be spread over 700-1,000 sq ft and 150-200 sq ft area respectively.

"We aim to keep the company owned and franchisee store ratio at 50:50," he informed.

A typical express and full store would need investment of Rs 12-20 lakh and Rs 40-60 lakh respectively.

"Uttar Pradesh would be our biggest market due to its large population and geography. Besides, the state has been witnessing fast urbanisation and people here are ready to experiment with new tastes," he added.

The company plans to launch 10-12 outlets in UP alone by the end of 2014 calendar.

Meanwhile, Polo Towers has been fast developing a 55-room budget hotel property in Allahabad district.
